The Opportunity
The European Languages - Italian program within the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics seeks to fill a continuing position at Level D or Level C, by an academic who has a dynamic research and teaching profile.
As the successful candidate, you will take a leadership role in the program’s research and teaching and make a contribution to the culture and administration of the school. You will be an established scholar with a significant record of research in any area of contemporary Italian culture. Interdisciplinary and comparative approaches are particularly welcome. You will engage in original and innovative research and contribute to the program’s capacity to secure funding for major research projects. You will also enhance the program’s, and the School’s, ability to attract and supervise excellent graduate research students. You will take an active role in curriculum development and delivery and will be prepared to engage in team teaching. You will also be expected to undertake a share of administrative tasks within the program and the School.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
